The Sichuan Ganzi Prefecture Photovoltaic Demonstration Experiment Base Project is located on the Dinggong Prairie in Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province, at an altitude of 3900 to 4500 meters. It is the first ultra-high-altitude photovoltaic demonstration base project in China. The project is constructed by the State Power Investment Corporation and aims to promote the development of photovoltaic and energy storage industries. It is a national-level experimental platform.
The main function of the photovoltaic substation provided by AUX is to convert the DC power generated by photovoltaic modules into AC power through an inverter, and then boost the voltage through a transformer and connect it to the power grid. At the same time, the photovoltaic box transformer also has protection, monitoring, and communication functions, ensuring the safe, stable, and efficient operation of the photovoltaic power generation system.
After the full capacity of the base is connected to the grid, the annual average power generation is about 1.268 billion kWh, which is equivalent to saving about 390,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.07 million tons per year. At the same time, it will also play a positive role in local ecological restoration.
